De-stance

My dear Tate, afar you roam,

A void within my heart has grown.

Like a ship adrift, I’m lost, alone,

With each passing day, my world is sown.

The sun may rise, the moon may fall,

But without you, I stumble, I crawl.

Your absence haunts my every dream,

Life’s colors fade, a muted gleam.

The laughter that we used to share,

Echoes faintly in the empty air.

The gentle touch, the warmth of your gaze,

Now mere memories, a bittersweet haze.

In every whisper of the breeze,

I yearn for you, my soul’s unease.

Each night, I count the stars above,

Hoping they’ll guide you back, my love.

The days are long, the nights are cold,

In this shattered world, my heart’s been sold.

Yet hope persists, a flickering light,

That you’ll return, to make things right.

Through distance vast, our love still gleams,

Brighter than the sun’s golden beams.

With every beat, my heart it swells,

For you, my love, in you it dwells.

So, Tate, my love, this message send,

Across the miles, my heart’s amend.

Though life’s been hard, I’ll patiently wait,

For you, my love, to end this state.
