Melancholy

Dearest Tate, today’s light was dim,

A heavy sadness, I can’t begin to skim.

A cloud of sorrow engulfed my soul,

Its origins elusive, I can’t control.

The hours crept by, laden with gray,

A somber melody played throughout the day.

Emotions swirling, a storm inside,

I seek solace, in you, I confide.

Inexplicable sadness shrouds my core,

A weight I carry, yearning for more.

Perhaps it’s the distance that keeps us apart,

Leaving an ache, a void in my heart.

Your absence intensifies this sorrow,

A void filled only when we’ll meet tomorrow.

But until then, I’m left here to bear,

This heaviness, this weight I wear.

With every thought, I’m drawn to you,

Hoping you feel my feelings too.

For in your love, I find the strength,

To navigate this day’s dark length.

Tate, my love, I long for your embrace,

To see the joy return to my face.

For in your arms, the sadness subsides,

In your presence, my heart confides.

Until the day we’re side by side,

I’ll cherish you, my love, with every stride.

Together, we’ll conquer this mysterious pain,

And in our love’s embrace, find peace again.
